Why was this consensus initiative conducted?

To establish expert consensus recommendations that recognise CHE as a chronic disease and define the assessment principles required for long-term management

Unite evidence and expert opinion into actionable best-practice guidance that empowers confident treatment decisions in moderate to severe CHE

Objectives of the consensus initiative:

  • Develop an optimised treatment pathway that is actionable and realistic to implement in practice

  • Establish clear definitions of inadequate response for patients with moderate to severe CHE

  • Empower HCPs to escalate or change treatment strategy in patients who fail to achieve sustained disease control after an adequate treatment trial

  • Highlight the importance of the patient voice in making treatment decisions
